The Top 5 Aesthetic Trends for 2026

The Top 5 Aesthetic Trends for 2026

Millions of people in the UK undergo non-surgical cosmetic treatments every year. What was once out of reach for most people, dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments and more, are now commonplace.

Whether it’s a young woman looking to improve skin health, an older woman wanting to age gracefully or a young man making his first foray into the world of aesthetics, the demand is growing.

So what are we expecting to see in 2026 for the aesthetics industry?

1. Male Aesthetics Go Mainstream

Male aesthetics treatments are no longer niche – in 2025, we saw lots more men in the clinic, and we expect that trend to continue.

According to PBL Magazine (citing the British College of Aesthetic Medicine), the number of men undergoing aesthetic treatments has risen by 70% since 2021. Reasons include the rise in overall wellness, male celebrities talking about the treatments they’re getting, and more men focusing on their own self-confidence.

We’re expecting to see more and more men seeking treatments like natural-looking dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle treatments, skin health and regenerative treatments, and hair restoration solutions.

2. Regulation

Earlier this year, Scotland committed to stricter regulations for non-surgical cosmetic treatments. The bill will:

  • Regulate how certain non-surgical cosmetic or lifestyle treatments are carried out
  • Make sure people are safe when they choose to have these procedures
  • Require that some treatments are done only in suitable, properly registered premises
  • Put steps in place to ensure providers follow the right standards

The hope is that the rest of the UK will follow suit in 2026 with these tighter regulations to make it safer for people to get the treatments that they want. The UK government has already committed to introducing a licensing scheme for clinics offering Botox and dermal fillers, so we expect to see more regulations like this.

3. Regenerative Aesthetics

We’re moving away from overfilled lips and cheekbones so sharp they could cut diamonds. Instead, we’re seeing a move towards natural, subtle ‘tweakments’ that keep patients’ individuality intact. Kylie Jenner got (some) of her lip filler dissolved in 2024, and everyone else is following suit.

Rather than fillers, patients are now asking for improved skin health. Formulas that include polynucleotides and NAD+ are gaining popularity because they work at the biological level to improve skin quality. They stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and new cells to leave skin healthier (and younger-looking) long-term.

4. Personalised Aesthetic Plans

One-size-fits-all solutions used to be the norm, leaving people all looking very similar. It’s slowly disappearing, thankfully.

We’re hoping to see more tailored aesthetic care in 2026. Treatment plans that take into account patients’ facial features, skin type, preferences, and goals will deliver more individualised results. It ties in with the regenerative aesthetics trend and the growing desire for more natural results perfectly.

5. AI Skin Analysis

AI is everywhere, including in the aesthetics industry. While it could never replace human experts, clinicians are using it to analyse skin quality, looking at wrinkles, texture, pores, moisture, redness and more, to help inform treatment plans.

With products being released for specifically this purpose, we’re expecting to see lots more AI skin analysis in 2026.
